The Impact of chemicals in our daily life

Last week “Science Friday” aired a segment on the detrimental affects of BPA in store receipts and how the use of hand sanitizer increases the absorption of BPA in the skin and in your body.

These findings make one think about all the products in our environment that are deemed safe by the EPA, FDA, and other agencies.

BPA  has been banned from bottles, paints and many products. But what else are BPAs found in?  This Science Friday interview points to a long list of health problems attributed to BPA absorption.   The EPA is working to find alternatives to BPA in thermal papers  http://www.epa.gov/dfe/pubs/projects/bpa/about.htm.  But what will the next alternative bring?
